Mental Health Services
BCSS offers information, understanding, advocacy, support groups and education courses for families, friends and individuals living with any mental illness. BCSS has an extensive mental health resource library. All education programs and support groups are free of charge.
As the nation-wide leader and champion for mental health, CMHA facilitates access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience, and support recovery from mental illness.

Mental health centres provide many services including adult community support, adult short-term assessment and treatment, community residential programs, geriatric programs, crisis intervention, day and outpatient programs, addictions counselling, concurrent disorders services, group therapy, peer support, and after-hours mental health support.
Services are provided in the community for seniors 65 years and up with mental disorders or behavioural and psychological symptoms that compromise their ability to function independently, seriously affect their feelings of well-being, or adversely affect their relationships with others. Services may include: Clinical Assessment, Treatment, Consultation, Case Management, Psychosocial, and Rehabilitation.
