Volunteering at Seniors Outreach & Resource Centre is a rewarding way to be actively involved in your community, while also helping older adults stay connected and engaged.
Volunteers receive training and ongoing support for their role, a quarterly newsletter, and an invitation to our annual volunteer appreciation event.

A volunteer is matched with an individual older adult for in-person visits.
Income Tax Preparation
Trained volunteers assist low-income older adults with simple income tax returns.
Handyperson
Volunteers assist with minor home repairs for an older adult with limited income on a case-by-case basis.
Online Grocery Shopper
Volunteers to place online grocery orders for seniors who are unable to do it themselves
Deliveries to Seniors
Groceries, Prescriptions, Books, Hampers, Meals or Other items
Social Recreation Programs (Seniors Centre)
Facilitate or help with our social recreation programs, such as coffee club, bingo, dancing, bridge, mah-jong and special events .
Volunteer Driving
Volunteers provide safe and reliable transportation for older adults who need assistance getting to their destinations.
Board Member
Becoming a member of the Seniors Outreach & Resource Centre board is a unique way to serve your local seniors and community. If you are passionate about this demographic and want to contribute to the work our organization is doing here in the Okanagan, consider this position. While the availability of open seats on the board is irregular, we’d still love to hear from you.
